New Member Tea Connects CBL’s Mission, Partners and Future Members

CBL welcomed current and prospective members on September 2 for a morning of connection, community and an inside look at the organizations our fundraising helps support.

Children’s Benefit League gathered on September 2 for its annual New Member Tea, bringing together current members, prospective members and representatives from CBL’s community partner organizations for a meaningful morning of learning and connection.

A special part of this year’s gathering was the opportunity to hear directly from organizations whose work is supported through CBL fundraising. Representatives from John Tracy Center, The Guidance Center, Children’s Dental Health Clinic and AbilityFirst shared more about the children and families they serve, the programs and services they provide, and the difference community support can make.

Their presentations gave both longtime and prospective CBL members a closer look at the impact behind CBL’s fundraising efforts—from supporting children with hearing loss and disabilities to expanding access to mental health services and dental care.

The morning was also about welcoming the next generation of CBL members.

Prospective members introduced themselves and shared a little about who they are, providing an opportunity for everyone to get acquainted and begin forming the friendships and connections that are such an important part of the CBL experience.

Over a lovely brunch, guests had time to visit, ask questions and learn more about CBL’s mission, traditions and commitment to serving children and families throughout Long Beach.

The New Member Tea offered a wonderful reminder that CBL is about more than raising funds. It is about building relationships between people who want to serve and the organizations doing meaningful work in our community.

We are grateful to our community partners for sharing their stories and to all of the prospective members who joined us. We look forward to the relationships, service and impact still to come.
