Chips Ahoy Brings Fun, Friendship and Record-Setting Support for CBL

CBL members and guests gathered at the Long Beach Yacht Club on September 12 for an afternoon of games, giving and community.

Children’s Benefit League brought together members, friends, and supporters for its recent Chips Ahoy event at the Long Beach Yacht Club on September 12, combining a beautiful waterfront setting with plenty of fun and an important purpose.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch, a decadent chocolate dessert, and an afternoon filled with friendly competition and creative fundraising.

One of the highlights was Heads or Tails, a playful elimination game with a CBL twist. Participants purchased a duck and, with each coin toss, placed it on their head or tail to make their choice. Those who guessed correctly stayed in the game, while the field narrowed until a winner remained.

The afternoon also featured CBL’s own version of Quartermania, adding even more energy and excitement to the event, along with a silent auction filled with opportunities to bid while supporting CBL’s mission.

Beyond the games and laughter, Chips Ahoy delivered something else worth celebrating: a record amount of money raised for this event.

The success was made possible by the generosity of everyone who attended, participated in the games, bid in the silent auction, and supported the event. Funds raised through CBL help strengthen local organizations serving children and families throughout Long Beach.

Chips Ahoy was a wonderful reminder that philanthropy can be meaningful, joyful, and rooted in connection.
